Biblical Job entered my work following two years of painting The Situation - the controversy and despair that is part of the relationship with the Palestinians. Job undergoes that in a horrific way too, when God tests his belief. His family and possessions are wiped out, He is afflicted with terrible diseases. Job demands death from God's hand. He confronts the unfathomable.
